L.W. Jackson to James R. Crawford
           "Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua County   } Whereas we L.W. Jackson
and S.R. Jackson justly indebted to James R.
Crawford in the Sum of Four hundred and Fifty
Dollars which said Sum of Money is Covenanted to be
paid by our certain promissory note bearing even date
herewith. And whereas we are desirous of fully and
better securing the payment of said note and the Sum
of Money mentioned therein. Therefore Know all men
by these presents that we L.W. Jackson and S.R.
Jackson for and in Consideration of one dollar to
us in hand paid have granted bargained sold and
Conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell
and Convey unto the said James R. Crawford his heirs
and assigns all the following described piece parcel or
tract of land situated lying and being in the County
of Alachua State of Florida to wit: Beginning at a
point on the Eastern boundary line of the "D.L. Clinch
Grant" which point is located Twenty Five (25) chains
and Thirty five (35) links South four and one quarter (4 1/4)
degrees West of and from a point at which the
Northern boundary line of Section Sixteen (16) in Town-
ship Ten (10) South of Range Twenty (20) East intersects
the said Eastern boundary line of the said "D.L. Clinch
Grant" and running from said point of beginning
North Seventy Six degrees (76) East Twenty five (25) Chains
and Ten links to the middle of the run of Sweet
Water Branch thence down the run of said Branch
in a South Westerly direction to where the said 
Eastern boundary line of the said "Clinch Grant"
Crosses the run of said Branch thence North Four
and a quarter (4 1/4) degrees East along the said
Eastern boundary line of the said "Clinch Grant"
Twenty Eight (28) Chains and Eighty (80) links to the
point of beginning Containing by estimation
Thirty Three (33) acres of land more or less Together
with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances to the Same belonging or in anywise
appertaining. To Have and to Hold the Same unto
the said James R. Crawford his heirs and assigns
forever. Provided however and these presents are
upon this express condition that if the said L.W.

For value received I hereby cancel and annul this mortgage and declare the same
to be null and void and of no effect whatever, this the 3rd day of October AD 1884
