Now Know all men by these presents that I hereby
Mortgage to the said T.H. Bevill for the secure pay-
ment of said Sum and interest the said horse and
pledge myself not to part with sell or Swap the said
Bey mare without the written consent of said Bevill
and if I Shall part with the possession of said
mare then this obligation is due and payable and
he shall have full power to seize said mare and
foreclose this instrument of Mortgage and should
said mare be injured or ill treated by me through
carelessness or neglect I am to return said mare
and pay the sum of five dollars per month for
the use of the same and to further secure him
in the payment of said Sum and interest I hereby
pledge and Mortgage all of my Crops of whatsoever
planted in the year AD 1883 for the satisfaction
of said demand and I further agree that Tom
Johnson will Commence in January next and
work for the said Bevill till he pays him the Said
Bevill fifty dollars on said demand and should
it be necessary to enforce this instrument by legal
process I agree to pay therefor all reasonable attor-
neys fees and charges and upon payment by me
of the above claim then this obligation to be null
and void else to remain in full force and effect
