H.H. Lipsey to Seth Brown
          "Mortgage"
This Indenture made this 30th day of October
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and Eighty Three between Hannah H. Lipsey
and William B. Lipsey and W.H. Lipsey are justly
indebted to Seth Brown of the second part in the
Sum of One thousand & five hundred dollars
($150000) lawful money of the United States of
America. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the
said parties of the first part for the better secu-
ing the payment of the said sum of money men-
tioned in a note of hand of even date with this
and also for and in Consideration of the sum of
Fifteen hundred dollars to them in hand paid
by the said party of the second part at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged they have granted
bargained sold aliened remised released Conveyed
and Confirmed and by these presents they do grant
bargain sell alien remise release Convey and Con-
firm unto the said party of the second part and
his heirs and assigns forever All of a certain tract
or parcel of land laying & described as follows
to wit The South East 1/4 of South West 1/4 of South
West fourth of section Sixteen Township Eleven
Range 18. East Containing ten acres be the Same
more or less } SE1/4 of SW1/4 of SW1/4 }
             } Sec 16 T11 R18 East     }
Together with all and singular the tenements heredi-
taments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions
remainder and remainders rents issues and profits
thereof And also all the estate right title interest
property possession claim and demand whatsoever
as well as law in equity of the said party of the
first part of in and to the Same and every part and
parcel thereof with the appurtenances. To have
and to hold the above granted and described premises
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns for his own proper use benefit and behoof
forever. Provided always and these presents are on
this express Condition that if the said parties of the
first part their heirs executors or administrators
shall well and truly unto the said party of the
second part his heirs executors or administrators
