Wm E.& M.A. Johnson To Charles M. Weeks

This Indenture made the 23d day of October
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and Eighty Three Between William E. Johnson and
M.A. Johnson his wife parties of the first part and
Charles M. Weeks all of Alachua County Florida
party of the second part. Whereas the said William
E. Johnson are justly indebted to Charles M. Weeks
party of the second part in the Sum of one hun-
dred lawful money of the United States of Am-
erica as will more fully appear by his note of
hand of even date herewith for the Sum of one
hundred dollars payable on or before the first day
of January AD 1885. Now this Indenture witnesseth
that the said party of the first part for the better
Securing of the payment of the Said Sum of
money mentioned in this Mortgage and in said
note old also for and in Consideration of the Sum
of one Dollar to him in hand paid by the said party
of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold
aliened remised released Conveyed and Confirmed and
by these presents does grant bargain sell alien rem-
ise convey and confirm unto the said party of the
second part and to his heirs and assigns forever
all of the following described tract of land to wit:
Commencing 1370 South of the North West Corner
of W.E. Johnson lot or tract of land running thence
South on the line 4.47 chains to stake thence East
allowing Eight feet for road 4.47 Chains to stake
thence North 4.47 Chains to stake thence West 4.47
Chains to point of beginning Containing Two acres
more or less in Section Twenty Three Township Eleven
South Range Twenty one East magnetic variation
being 8º36' also beginning fifteen Chains from a
corner on the Section line dividing the lands of Johnson
and Hunter South (8º30') Eight degrees and thirty min-
utes West in section Twenty Three Township Eleven
South Range Twenty one East thence South Eight
Degrees and thirty minutes West, 3.16 1/4 chains thence
South 81º30' West 3.16 1/4 chains thence North 8º30' 
East 3.16 1/4 chins thence North 8º30' East Containing
one acre more or less meaning hereby to Mortgage
the property Conveyed to me by Charles M. Weeks
by deed dated Oct 23 AD 1883-
