 Wm C. Lindsey To W.B. Barrow

State of Florida }
Alachua County   } This Indenture made and entered
into on this the 13th day of Oct AD 1883 by and between
Wm C. Lindsey of Alachua County Fla of one part
and W.B. Barrow of Levy Co Fla of the other part
Witnesseth that the said W.C. Lindsey of the first
part for and in Consideration of the sum of One
hundred and forty dollars lawful money to me in
hand paid by the said party of the second part
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
has granted bargained and sold and by these 
presents doth grant bargain release and Convey
unto the said party of the second part his heirs
executors or assigns the following property and
Chattels viz One mare mule of a dark brown Color
eight years old about fifteen hands high named
"Sue" Also one horse colt two years old past a
dark Bey Color named Selim. To have and to hold
the Same unto the said party of the second part
his heirs executors and assigns forever and the said
party of the first part does hereby covenant and declare 
that he the said party of the first part has a good right
to sell and Convey the said property and that the
said property is free from all encumbrances of debt
or claim and that he will warrant and defend the
Same to the said party of the second part his heirs or
assigns against the lawful claims of all persons
whomsoever Provided nevertheless that if the said
Wm C. Lindsey his heirs or assigns shall well and
truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said party of
the second part the amount of a Certain promissory
note bearing date with these presents and amounting
to One hundred and forty dollars with interest at
ten per Cent from date and to become due on the
first day of Dec AD 1883 then this indenture
shall be void otherwise to remain in full force 
and effect.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal on this the thirteenth day of October
