P.F. Wilson To Isaac Steenburg
          "Mortgage"
This Indenture made this 8th day of November in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
Eighty three Between P.T. Wilson & his wife Willie
M. Wilson of Alachua County Florida parties of the
first part and Isaac Steenburg of Farmington
Fulton County Illinois of the second part whereas
the said P.F. Wilson is justly indebted to the said
Isaac Steenburg the party of the second part in the Sum
of Two Thousand dollars ($200000} lawful money of the
United States of America as will appear by refer-
ence to a Certain promissory note of date the 1st day
of November AD 1883 given by said P.F. Wilson to
the said Isaac Steenburg for the Sum of $2000 - and due
on or before the 1st day of November AD 1884 together
with interest thereon from date thereof until paid at
the rate of Ten per Cent per annum being for part pay-
ment of purchase money for Constructing building
upon one of the Lots hereinafter described.
Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said parties of
the first part for the better securing the payment 
of the said Sum of money mentioned in the said
promissory note and also for and in Consideration
of the Sum of Ten dollars to them in hand paid
by the said party of the second part at or before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
Whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold aliened remised released Conveyed and Confirmed
and by these presents so grant bargain sell alien rem-
ise release Convey and Confirm unto the said party of
the second part and his heirs and assigns forever. All
those Certain Lots tracts or parcels of land Situated
lying and being in the County of Alachua in the State
of Florida particularly known and described as follows
to wit: - The South half of Block For (4) in Range
Six (6) according to the plat of the original Survey
of the Town (now city} of Gainesville which said plat is
duly recorded in Deed Book "H" at page "383" of the
public records of said Alachua County Florida being
the residence of the parties of the first part - Cont-
aining by estimation 19750 Square feet. Also lot
Number (10) Ten as described in a map made by Mackey &
Hudson of part of Ed Hale plantation recorded in Deed
Book "J" of records of said County on page 906 lying
in Township 10 South Range 19 lying & being in Alachua
County Florida Containing (40) Forty acres of land
more or less= Together with all and Singular the
