 Wm R. Penniman To J. Adger Clark
                     "Release of Mortgage"= Agreement
Whereas heretofore to wit the Eighth day of January
last J. Adger Clark of Ashville North Carolina and
William R. Penniman also of said town entered into
an agreement in writing and under their seals
in the following words and figures to wit: An a-
greement made and entered into this 8th day of
January 1883 between J. Adger Clark of Ashville
in the County of Buncombe State of North Carolina
of the first part and Wm R. Penniman of said
Town County and State of the second part witnesseth
that whereas the party of the first part is desi-
rous of making arrangements for the proper man-
agement of his Orange grove in the County of Al-
achua, State of Florida and the party of the sec-
ond part is willing to undertake the management
of the said property it is agreed between the said
parties of the first and second parts as follows viz:
The party of the second part for and in Considera-
tion of one fourth of the net yearly proceeds and
one fourth of the enhanced value of the said Orange
Grove (over and above the Sum of Twenty Thousand
dollars which it is agreed is the present value of
said Grove) agrees to undertake the exclusive manage-
ment and Control of the said Grove and to give it as
much of his personal attention as he shall deem
necessary to the economical and profitable manage-
ment of the Same for the term of five years should
this property be sold before the expiration of the five
years the party of the first part shall pay the party
of the second part one fourth of the amount realized
from such sale over and above the said Sum
of Twenty Thousand Dollars. If at the expiration 
of the term of this agreement the parties hereto should
decide not to renew the agreement the said property
Shall be revalued and the party of the first part
shall pay the party of the second part one fourth of
such Valuation over and above the said Sum of
Twenty Thousand dollars its present valuation
The party of the first part agrees to give and doth hereby
give the party of the second part entire and exclusive
Control and management of the said Orange Grove
for the term of five years unless sold in the
