Sue for any and all moneys due me from
J. Adger Clark at the said town of Ashville
N.C. and for me in my name to execute and
deliver under seal or not as my be required all
such deeds of release acquittance or other
deed of discharge of any and all mortgages
or liens of other character which may have heretofore
been made or created by the said Clark to me or to
any one in trust for me on any property situated in
the State of Florida or in the State of North Carolina
to Secure the payment of said moneys. And I further
authorize and direct my said attorney upon the pay-
ment of the Same deed from the said Clark to me
to deliver to the said Clark all such bonds notes or
other evidence of his, Clarks indebtedness. And generally
to do act transact determine accomplish and
finish all things necessary to the final settlement
of all accounts indebtedness claims and demands
existing between the said Clark and myself as fully
amply and effectually as I if present ought or might
hereby ratifying and Confirming all that the said
attorney hereby made shall do in the premises by
virtue hereof

                     Be it remembered that on this Eleventh
day of September AD 1883 before me a Notary Public of
said State of New Jersey residing at Plainfield in said
County duly commissioned and Sworn personally appeared
Israel Champion and Harriet Champion his wife who
are known to me to be the grantors in the forgoing power
of attorney named and I having first informed
them of the Contents thereof they did Severally acknowl-
edge that they signed sealed and delivered the Same
as their voluntary act and deed for the uses and 
purposes therein expressed and the said Harriet
Champion being by me privately examined separate
and apart from her said husband did further
acknowledge that she signed sealed and delivered
the same as her voluntary act and deed and without
any fear threats or compulsion of her said
husband. Witness my hand and Notarial seal
