"Release of Mortgage"
Know all men by these presents, That whereas hereto-
fore to wit on the 17th day of February AD 1883 - J.
Adger Clark Esquire of the town of Ashville State
of North Carolina executed and delivered to W.R. Pen-
niman Jr Esquire a Certain deed Conveying Certain
lands in the County if Alachua in the State of
Florida to which deed reference is here and now
made for a more particular description of said
lands - in trust to Secure the payment of a Certain
note bearing even date with said deed for the Sum of
four thousand dollars payable to Harriet Champion
of Plainfield in the State of New Jersey:
And whereas the said J. Adger Clark has fully paid
off and discharged the amount due upon said note
and all other Sums due or to become due to the Said
Harriet Champion or her trustee, the said W.R. Penni-
man Jr.
Now therefore for and in Consideration of the premises as
well as in Consideration of the sum of one dollar
paid to us by the same J. Adger Clark in discharge of
the trust aforesaid as well as in discharge and acquit-
tance of the Sums due and secured thereby we have
remised released and Surrendered and assigned and
set over and by these presents for ourselves our executors
administrators do freely and absolutely remise release
surrender assign and set over unto the said J. Adger
Clark his heirs executors administrators and assigns
all the estate right title interest use benefit privilege
and demands whatsoever which we or either of us
may have or claim of or to said premises or of or in
any sum of money or other matter or thing whatsoever in
the said deed of Conveyance Contained or mentioned
so that neither we nor our executors or administrators
or any of us at any time hereafter shall or will ask claim
challenge or demand any Sum or interest or other
thing in any manner whatsoever by reason or means
of said deed of conveyance or any Covenant therein
Contained but thereof and therefrom and all actions
