"Mortgage"
State of Florida } This Indenture made this 1st day of November
Alachua County } AD 1883 Between Mrs R.M. Johnson party of the
first part and A.H. and J.C. Mathers parties of the second part
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of four
hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America in
hand paid by parties of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged the party of the first part
hath sold to the parties of the second part the following
property or real estate To Wit: commencing at a Stake
on the north boundary line of section Twenty five in
Township Eleven and Range Twenty one the said Stake
being twenty two chains and thirty links North of the
Stake representing and being one half of the said Section
line and running North along said section line to the
terminous or North East corner of said section running thence
west three acres to a Stake thence South the same
distance as boundary line north to a Stake and thence
East to a Stake being three acres to the point of beginning
and containing Sixteen and Sixty Eight one hundredths
part of an acre (16 8/100) of land. Also the following
described lot of land to wit: commencing at the North west
corner of the parcel or tract of land containing seventy acres
as deed from N.A. Bailey to Mrs R.M. Johnson will show
in Section thirty township Eleven and Range twenty one
deeded to N.A. Bailey by J. Adger Clark commencing at said
point and running East one acre that is two hundred and
Eight and 7/100 feet to a stake on this line being the North
boundary line of said Seventy acres thence South One

money secured to paid by this mortgage I hereby Cancel
and discharge the same from record this 3rd day of May
