     Mitchel Jones To Irvin Haynes
                 "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Know all men by these Presents that whereas
Alachua County   } Mitchel Jones of the above State and County is
in debted to Irvin Haynes of the same State and County in
the sum of One hundred dollars which the said sum is covenanted
to be paid by one certain promissory note bearing date July 24th
1883 and Now therefore to better secure the payment of said
note and interest as expressed therein I do by these presents
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Irvin Haynes his
heirs and assigns all right title interest and claim of the
following described property to wit: My individual half interest
in North half of lot 10) in Sec (5) five Range (20) Twenty
Township (10) Ten containing five (5) acres less 15 feet on East
West & North sides reserved for Streets. Also one Sorrel Roan
horse named Joe about 12 years old. To Have and to Hold
all and singular lands and personal property above
bargained and sold unto the said Irvin Haynes his heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless
that if the said Mitchel Jones should well and truly pay
or cause to be paid unto the said Irvin Haynes the full
amount of said note together with the interest according
to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be void else
to remain in full force and virtue. And it is hereby
further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce
this instrument by legal proceedings the said Mitchel Jones
will pay therefor all attorney's fees and expenses
