  L.W. Jackson and Wife To A.J. Hinds
                 "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas We L.W. Jackson and Susan R. Jackson husband and
Alachua County   } wife are Justly indebted to A.J. Hinds in the sum of
Five hundred and Forty seven Dollars which said sum of money is
covenanted to be paid by our certain promissory note bearing even date
herewith. Said note being due and payable one year after date and
bearing interest from date at the rate of 10% per annum. And Whereas
we are desirous of fully and better securing the payment of said
note and the sum of money mentioned therein therefore know all
men by these Presents That we L.W. Jackson and Susan R. Jackson
for and in consideration of the premises and of one dollar to us in hand
paid have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents
do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said A.J. Hinds his
heirs and assigns all the following described piece parcel or tract of
land Situated lying and being in the County of Alachua State 
of Florida to wit: Commencing at the South West corner of the lot
in the town of Gainesville Known as J.B. Dawkins lot thence
East along the Southern boundary of said lot one hundred feet to
a stake thence North one hundred and eighty feet to a
stake thence West one hundred feet thence South one
hundred and Eighty feet to the place of beginning said
now owned and occupied by said L.W. Jackson as a Residence
lot and containing 18,000 square feet more or less
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise
appertaining To Have and to Hold the same unto the said
A.J. Hinds his heirs and assigns forever Provided however
and these presents are upon this express condition
that if the said L.W. Jackson and Susan R. Jackson
their heirs or assigns shall well and truly pay or cause
to be paid the sum of money covenanted to be paid by said
note together with the interest to accrue thereon according
