Elizabeth Williamson and Husband To John J. Barr
                   "Mortgage"
This Indenture made and entered into this Nov 1st AD 1883 between
Elizabeth Williamson & Wm H. Williamson parties of the first part and
John J. Barr party of the second part all parties being of the State
of Florida & County of Alachua Witnesseth That the parties of the
first part for and in the consideration of the sum of three hundred
and thirty six (33600) dollars to them in hand paid by the party
of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
and convey to him the said Jno J. Barr his heirs and assigns forever
the following described lands situated in Alachua County Florida
in Section thirty (30) Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one (21)
and more fully described as the East half of the South West Quarter
of the South West Quarter of above Section Thirty containing Twenty
(20) acres with the appurtenances and improvements thereto
belonging with all the title and rights of the parties of the
second part thereto This Grant is intended as a security for the
payment of a Note of three hundred & thirty Six (33600} dollars
dated Nov 1st 1883 and due Nov 1st 1884 signed by Elizabeth Willia-
amson & Wm H. Williamson which payment if duly made will
render this conveyance void but if default shall be made in the 
payment of above described note then the said Jno J. Barr party
of the second part his heirs executors or assigns are hereby
authorized to sell the lands herein described and granted to
satisfy amount mentioned (33600} together with all costs & expenses
to collect the same. In Witness whereof the parties of the first
part have hereunto set their hands & seals this Novr 1st 1883

State of Florida } Before me personally appeared Mrs Elizabeth
Alachua County   } Williamson who being first examined separate and
apart from her husband Wm H. Williamson says she did sign and
execute the foregoing mortgage on her separate estate and she did it
freely and voluntarily without any fear of or from her said husband
and she did it for the purposes mentioned in said mortgage
signed and acknowledged before }
