Margaret L. Beckham and her husband Alexander C. Beckham to me well
known as the persons described in and who executed the foregoing
Mortgage Deed and severally acknowledged the execution thereof
to be their to be their free act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned and the said Margaret L. Beckham the wife of
the said Alexander C. Beckham on an examination taken and
made separately and apart from her said husband did acknowledge
before me that she made herself a party to the said conveyance for
the purpose of conveying all of her right and title in and to
the lands tenements and hereditaments therein described and
thereby granted and released and that such conveyance is made
by her freely and voluntarily and without constraint apprehension
or fear of or from her said husband.

David Summons To G.K. Broome
"Mortgage"
State of Florida Alachua County
Know all men by these Presents That Whereas I Davis Simmons
of the above State and County am indebted to G.K. Broome of
Sixty Two dollars lawful money of the United States which
said sum is expressed in one certain promissory note bearing
date 31st December 1883 and for the said sum of One Hundred
Sixty Two dollars and falling due on or before the 1st November
AD 1884 with interest at 1 1/4% per mo after Maturity Now therefore
to better secure said G.K. Broome in full payment of said note
and interest as expressed I do by these presents grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said G.K. Broome his heirs and
assigns all my right title interest and claim of in and to all the
crops of whatsoever species kind or description now growing or
which may hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me or for
me of for my benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida. Also the following described property to wit:
One (1) Iron Gray Horse about Six yrs old Bought this day of said
G.K. Broome & for which this note represents the purchase money
To Have and To Hold all and singular the crops and personal
property above bargained and sold unto the said G.K. Broome
his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
Provided nevertheless that if the said Davis Simmons should
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said G.K.
