to the party of the second part for the sum of Two hundred and
fifty dollars due on or before the 1st day of January AD 1885 hath
granted bargained sold & conveyed and doth by these presents grant
bargain sell convey & confirm unto the party of the second part and
to his heirs and assigns the following personal property situated
and lying in Alachua County Florida to wit: Two (2) Black
mare Mules named respectively "Eliza & Beck" one (1) Mouse colored
mare Mule named "Pet" and one (1) Bay Horse mule name "B" To
have and to hold the said described property unto the said party
of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever free from
all and every encumbrance whatsoever Provided always and these
presents are upon these conditions that if the said party of
the first part shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto the party of the second part or his heirs or assigns the
amount of the said note at maturity according to the tenor
and effect thereof then these presents to become null and
void Else to remain in full force and virtue and provided
further that the party of the first part shall pay all costs
expenses and attorney's fees which may be incurred in the
collection of this mortgage in event of the failure to pay the
same, at maturity. Witness the hand and seal of the party
