delivered to the said Charles W. Bauknight merchant his heirs and
assigns the following described property to wit one Sorrel horse one
one Bay horse Sixty head of Stock cattle marked crop and under half
crop in one ear swallow fork in the other Branded RB. Provided
nevertheless the above is considered in the nature of a mortgage
for the purpose of securing to Charles W. Bauknight merchant the
payment of one hundred dollars on the first day of December AD 1884 
now if we shall well and truly pay said amount as Specified then this
to be null and void else to remain in full force and virtue and in
default of said payment at the time specified Charles W. Bauknight
merchant his heirs or assigns are hereby duly authorized and
empowered to sell said property to satisfy said amount and if
anything remaining above the indebtedness after said sale the
balance to be placed to our credit and for the further security
of said payment we do hereby waive the benefit of the Homestead
or exemption laws of Florida binding the within property as if no
such law ever existed. In Witness whereof we have hereunto affixed
our hands and seals this the third day of January AD 1884

January AD 1884 before me personally appeared Mrs Georgia
Ann Nipper wife of Samuel P. Nipper who being duly questioned
and examined by me Separate and apart from her said husband
acknowledges before me that she did sign said Mortgage for the
purpose of releasing and relinquishing all of her property right or
interest to the within Mortgaged property and that same was done
freely and voluntarily without any constraint apprehension or fear
from her said husband In Testimony I have hereunto set my
hand and seal
