& truly pay his certain promissory note bearing even date
herewith given to the said party of the second part for the sum of
three hundred Dollars lawful money as aforesaid according to the
tenor of said note then these presents shall become void and the
estate hereby conveyed shall cease and utterly determine.

"Mortgage"
State of Florida } This Indenture made the 7th day of January
Alachua County } in the year 1884 Thomas L. Sewell of said State & County
party of the first part and Louis Roux as Executor of the same State &
County party of the second part. That the said party of the first
part in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and fifty
Dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand
paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted
bargained sold & conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain
sell & convey unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs
and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying
and being in said State & County and known and described as
follows: The South half of the SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Sec twenty nine (29)
Township nine South Range twenty East containing Eighteen
acres more or less Also a Strip one hundred and fifty feet off
of the South side of the NW1/4 of the SW1/4 of sec twenty nine (29)
Township nine (9) Range twenty (20) East containing two & 31 1/100 of
an acre together together with all and singular the tenements
& appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining
To Have and to Hold the above granted and described premises
with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns to his & their own proper use benefit
and behoof forever Provided always and these presents are
upon this condition that if the said party of the first part
shall well and truly pay his certain promissory notes bearing
