Henry Harroll To Annie L. Barton

State of Florida } Whereas I Henry Harroll is Justly
Alachua County   } indebted to Annie L. Barton in the
sum of One Hundred & fifty dollars which said sum of money is
covenanted to be paid by a certain promissory note bearing
even date herewith one for the sum of One Hundred and fifty
dollars and whereas I am desirous of fully and better securing
the payment of said note and the sum of money mentioned
therein therefore know all men by these presents that I Henry
Harroll for and in consideration of the premises and of the
sum of one dollar to me in hand paid have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said Annie L. Barton her heirs and assigns all the
following described piece parcel or tract of land to wit: Commencing
at a point five (5) chains South of the North West corner of the
South West quarter of Section (16) Sixteen in township ten (10)
in Range Nineteen (19) East thence running South five (5) chains
thence East forty (40) chains thence North (5) five chains thence
West forty (40) chains to the point of beginning lying and being
in Section Sixteen (16) Township (10) ten S Range Nineteen (19) E
together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to Hold
the same unto the said Annie L. Barton in fee simple absolute
forever Provided however and these presents are upon this express
consideration that if the said Henry Harroll his heirs or
assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the sum
of money covenanted to be paid by said note together with the
interest to accrue thereon according to the legal tenor thereof
then this obligation shall become null and void else to
remain in full force and virtue and it is hereby further
agreed and stipulated that the said Henry Harroll will pay
all expenses costs and attorney's fees which the said Annie L. Barton
may be put to in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum of
money covenanted to be paid by said note by foreclosure or otherwise
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
seal on this 5 day of July AD 188.              his
