appears by his promissory note of even date herewith for the
sum of Two Hundred Dollars with interest at the rate of
Twelve percent a year payable annually due one year from
the date hereof Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said
party of the first part for the better securing the payment of
the said sum of money mentioned in said note and in this
mortgage mentioned and also for and in consideration of the sum
of One Dollar to him in hand paid by the said party of the second
part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained
sold aliened remised released conveyed and confirmed and by
these presents Does grant bargain sell alien remise release
convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and
her heirs and assigns forever all of that certain lot or tract
of land lying and being in the Town of Hawthorn in said State and
County and described as follows to wit Commencing at the South East
corner of the North East Quarter of the South East Quarter of
section (27) Twenty seven Township (10) Ten South Range (22) Twenty two
East thence South Eighty Six Degrees and Forty five minutes West six
chains and thirty six links to the South East corner of house lot and
place of beginning thence North two degrees and thirty minutes
west five chains and sixty nine links thence South Eighty six
degrees and forty five minutes West three chains and Sixteen Links
thence North Two degrees and thirty minutes West one chain and
Thirty nine links thence South Eighty six degrees and
forty five minutes West three chains and Fifty six links
thence South two degrees and thirty minutes East seven
chains and Eight links thence North Eighty Six degrees
and forty five minutes East six chains seventy Two links
back to place of beginning containing four and thirty five one
hundredths acres. Together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in anyway appertaining and the reversion and
reversions remaind and remainders rents issues and profits
thereof; and also all the estate right title interest property
possession claim and demand whatsoever as well in law
as in equity of the said party of the first of in and to
the same and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances
To have and to hold the above granted and described premises
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
to their own proper use benefit and behoof forever. Provided
Always and these presents are on this express condition that if
the said G. Yale Thigpen his heirs executors or administrators
shall well and truly pay unto the said party of the second
part her heirs executors or administrators or assigns the sum of
money according to the terms and conditions of said note
with interest according to the true intent and meaning thereof
together with all costs charges and expenses including reasonable
