default of the part of the first part to pay the money as stipulated or to
comply in any respect with the covenants of this mortgage shall draw interest
at the same rate as the principal sum aforesaid and said moneys necessarily
paid by the party of the second part shall be secured by this mortgage
And the said party of the first part hereby wave all right of homestead and
exemption granted by the Constitution and laws of the State of Florida

Paul E. Woodward to John W. Shearhouse
"Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas Paul E. Woodward of said State and
Alachua County } County is Justly indebted to John W. Shearhouse in
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars which said sum is covenanted to
be paid by a certain promissory note bearing even date herewith Payable
one year from the date hereof with interest at the rate of ten per cent per
annum and Whereas He is desirous of fully and better securing the
payment of said note and the sum of money mentioned therein
Therefore know all men by these presents that said Paul E. Woodward for
and in consideration of the premises and of one dollar to him in hand
paid have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John W.
Shearhouse his heirs and assigns all the following described piece
parcel or tract of land situated lying and being in the County of
Alachua State of Florida to wit Twenty acres more or less on the North
half of the South East Quarter of the North West Quarter of Section
(13) Thirteen Township 10 South Range (22) Twenty Two East Known
as the (20) Twenty acre field and bounded as follows start at
the South West corner at stake dividing land of Paul E. Woodward
and E.T. Hawthorn thence East to the center of road leading from
Hawthorn to Melrose thence North in center of road to a point
