in and for said County (said Court being a Court of Record) Do Hereby
Certify that Frank Jenks whose name is subscribed to the
Certificate of Proof or acknowledgement of the annexed instrument and
thereon written was at the time of taking such proof or acknowledgement
a Commissioner of Deeds in and for the City of Brooklin in said
County dwelling in said City Commissioned and sworn and duly
authorized to take the same. And further that I am well acquainted
with the handwriting of such Commissioner and verily believe the
signature to said certificate of Proof or acknowledgement is genuine
and that the same is executed and acknowledged according to
the laws of the State of New York

   Elizabeth Dean To Myron B. French
                 "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas We Elizabeth Dean and Thomas Dean
Alachua County   } her husband are Justly indebted to Myron
B. French in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars which said
sum of money is covenanted to be paid our certain promissory
note bearing even date herewith and Whereas^we are^desirous of
fully and better securing the payment of said note and the sum
of money mentioned therein. Therefore know all men by these
presents that we Elizabeth Dean and Thomas Dean for and
in consideration of the premises and of one dollar to us in hand
paid have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents
do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Myron B. French
his heirs and assigns all the following described piece parcel or
Tract of land situated lying and being in the County of Alachua
State of Florida to wit Lot No (13) Thirteen in Block (4) Four Range
(2) Two of Doig & Robertson's addition to the City of Gainesville
Florida and duly recorded in Deed Book "N" at page 486 being
