Mary N. Sheats to J.W. Hudson & French
                Mortgage
State of Florida } Whereas we Mary S. Sheats and W.N. Sheats are
Alachua County   } indebted to John W. Hudson and Myron B. French
in the true sum of three hundred and thirty ($33000) Dollars
which said sum of money is covenanted to be paid by our
certain promissory note bearing even date herewith and due and
payable one year after date and bearing interest from date at
the rate of ten (10%) per cent per annum And whereas we are
desirous of fully securing the payment of said promissory 
note and the sum of money covenanted to be paid by said note
Therefore know all men by these presents that we Mary S. Sheats
and W.N. Sheats her husband for and in consideration of one
dollar to us in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and doth hereby
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John W. Hudson
and Myron B. French their heirs and assigns the following
described piece parcel lot or tract of land situate lying and
being in the town of Gainesville in Alachua County in the
State of Florida to wit: The North half of Lot Number Two
(2) of what is properly known as Brushes addition to the Town
of Gainesville a Map or plat of said Brushes addition being
duly recorded in Deed Book "O" at page "218" public records
of said Alachua County To have and to hold the same unto
them the said John W. Hudson and Myron B. French their
heirs and assigns forever together with all and singular
the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same in
anywise appertaining or belonging. It is hereby agreed
Stipulated covenanted and warranted that the afore described
piece parcel or tract of land is free and unincumbered of
any and all liens of any description excepting a prior Mortgage
made to W. Lassiter on Feby 14th AD 1883 and recorded the 23rd day
of Febry 1883 in Mortgage Book "F" at pages 312,313, & 314
public records of Alachua County and being for the sum
of Seven hundred and fifty ($75000) Dollars. Provided nevertheless
and these presents are upon this express condition that if the
said Mary S. Sheats and W.N. Sheats their heirs or assigns
shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the aforesaid
promissory note and the sum of money therein covenanted
to be paid together with the interest to accrue thereon at
the time the same becomes due and payable then these
presents shall become null and void else to remain in full
force and virtue. It is hereby further agreed and Stipulated
that the Said Mary S. Sheats and W.N. Sheats will pay all
costs expenses and attorneys or Solicitors fees which the said
John W. Hudson and Myron B. French may be put to in
enforcing the collection of the aforesaid promissory note
Either by foreclosure or otherwise. It is still also further

   For and in Consideration of the full payment of the Money Secured to be paid by this
   Mortgage I hereby Cancel and discharge of the same from record on this the 14th day of April AD 1887 -
