Alachua County   } I J.A. Carlisle Clerk of the Circuit Court in and
for said State and County do hereby certify that on this 28th day of
January AD 1884 before me personally appeared W.N. Sheats and
George Y. Renfro and Mary S. Sheats wife of W.N. Sheats his wife to
me well known as the persons described in and who executed the
foregoing Mortgage Deed and severally acknowledged the execution
thereof to be their free act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned and the said Mary S. Sheats the wife of W.N. Sheats
on an examination taken and made separately and apart from
her said husband did acknowledge before me that she made
herself a party to the said conveyance for the purpose of releasing
relinquishing and renouncing her dower in and to the lands tenements
and hereditaments thereon described and thereby granted and released
and that such release relinquishment and renunciation of Dower is
made by her freely and voluntarily and without constraint apprehen-
sion or fear of or from her said husband

State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I John B.
Alachua County   } Starling of the State and County aforesaid am
indebted to P.H. Young of the same State and County in the sum
of One hundred and^Ninety^dollars ($19000} the Same being the
unpaid portion of the purchase money due to the said P.H. Young
for the lands hereinafter described and whereas I have this day
made and delivered to the said P.H. Young my certain promissory
note for the said sum of one hundred & Ninety ($19000} dollars
and thereby promised to pay the said P.H. Young the said
sum of money in the said promissory note^ on or before
the first day of January next^ and whereas I am desirous of
more fully securing to the said P.H. Young the payment of
the said sum of money above mentioned Now therefore Know Ye
