 Wm N. Tillman To Thos W. Thompson
             "Mortgage"
This Indenture made this Twenty first day of February
AD 1882 between William N. Tillman of Alachua County
and State of Florida of the first part and Thomas
W. Thompson of Putnam County in the said State Wit-
nesseth that whereas the said Tilman by his note
of even date herewith is indebted unto the said
Thompson in the sum of one hundred and Thirty
Dollars with interest at ten per cent payable on the
first day of November AD 1882 as by said note
fully appears. Now therefore the said William N. Tillman
in consideration of the said debt and for the better
Securing the payment thereof with its interest unto
the said Thompson and of the further Sum of
One Dollar to him in hand paid by said Thomas
W. Thompson the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged hath granted bargained sold released
and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant
bargain sell release and Confirm unto the said
Thomas W. Thompson his heirs and assigns all that
tract or lot of land described as follows towit: The
North East Quarter of the South West Quarter and
thirty acres on the North side of North West Quarter
of South East Quarter of said Section (2) Two Township Ten
South of Range (22) Twenty Two East also all the Crops
growing on the same during the year AD 1882. Together
with all the rights members and appurtenances what-
soever thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining
To have and to hold the above described premises
with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the
said party of the second part the said Thomas W.
Thompson his heirs and assigns as his absolute
property in fee simple forever and also the Crops
for the year 1882 as aforesaid. Provided always
nevertheless that if the said Tillman his heirs execu-
tors or administrators shall pay the said Thompson
his executors administrators or assigns the aforesaid
debt of One hundred and thirty dollars on the day
and time herein before mentioned with all interest
due them according to the Conditions of said note
then this Mortgage to be absolutely null and void
else to remain in full force and virtue. In Witness
Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this Twenty first day of February AD 1882
