in the sum of Seventy Five Dollars ($7500) bearing 8'
per Cent interest from date the 28th day of September AD 1884
which said Sum is Covenanted to be paid by a Certain
promissory note bearing date with this Mortgage and
for the said Sum of Seventy Five Dollars ($7500} bear-
ing interest at the rate of 8 per cent from date
Now therefore to better secure the payment of said note
and interest as expressed therein we do by these
presents grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said
Charles W. Bauknight merchant we bind ourselves
our heirs and assigns all our right title interest and Claim
of in and to all crops of whatsoever species kind or des-
cription now growing or which may hereafter be planted
grown or gathered by us or for us or for our benefit on or
off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida
also the following described property to wit Homestead
#1222 The North West Quarter of Section 26-T9.
South of Range 16 East- The above also to cover
any other indebtedness the said William Nipper
and Mary Ann Nipper may make or cause to be
made with the said Charles W. Bauknight Merchant
his heirs or assigns independent of this note given
for the purpose of making and gathering the Crops
hein mentioned. To have and to hold all and sin-
gular the Crops lands and personal property of
whatever kind or nature belonging to the said William
Nipper & Mary Ann Nipper and sold unto the said
Charles W. Bauknight merchant his heirs execu-
tors and administrators and assigns forever.
Provided Nevertheless that if the said William
Nipper & Mary Ann Nipper shall well and truly pay
or Cause to be paid unto the said Charles W. Bauk-
night Merchant the full amount of said note
and all Further indebtedness. And it is further agreed
that we do hereby waive the benefit of the homestead
laws of Florida binding our property as if no such
law existed. In Witness whereof we have hereunto
affixed our hands & seals this the 28th day of Jan-
