  James W. Russell^ To Elizabeth Ransom

This Indenture made the 19th day of November
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and
eighty Three between James W. Russell and wife
Mary E. Russell and William T. Ogborn of the
first part and Elizabeth Ransom of the second
part Whereas the Said James W. Russell and W.T.
Ogborn is justly indebted to Mrs Elizabeth Ransom
of the second part in the Sum of fifteen hundred
Dollars lawful money of the United States of 
America for which said Amount of Fifteen hundred
Dollars the said James W. Russell and William
T. Ogburn have given their promissory note due
and payable to Elizabeth Ransom and bearing even
date with these presents the said note to be due
three years from date with interest at six per
Cent per annum to be paid annually
Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part for the better securing the payment
of the said Sum of money mentioned in the
aforesaid promissory note and also for and in Consid-
eration of the Sum of One Dollars to them in hand
paid by the said party of the second part at or before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
Whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
Sold aliened remised released Conveyed and Confirmed
and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien
remise release Convey and Confirm unto the said
party of the second part and her heirs and assigns
forever. All those lots or parcels of land lying and
being in Alachua County Florida and described as
follows to wit: Commencing at a cypress knee one
Chain twenty Eight links north of line dividing
lot number one and lot number Eight Section four
Township Nine Range Twenty Two East Thence
North along Santaffee lake to lands belonging
to H. Binder thence Westerly along said Binders line
to the West line of lot number Six thence South to
the South line of Lot Six thence East to the South
East Corner of lot Six. Thence Easterly to the place
of beginning. Also lot Number ten (except four acres
of the East side heretofore deeded to the Church) and also
Lot Number Thirteen - and also a Strip of about Four
acres off the west side of Lot Number Fourteen it
being all the land in Lot fourteen lying on the
West side of Victoria Avenue all of said lands being
in Section four Township Nine Range Twenty Two

that a certain Indenture of Mortgage bearing date the 19th day of November One thousand Eight hundred Eighty three
made and executed by James W. Russell and W.T. Ogburn to Mrs Elizabeth Ransom and Lyman
F. Ransom to secure the payment of the sum of fifteen hundred Dollars and the interest
thereon from the said date and Recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County of Alachua 
In Book F of mortgages pages 974 975 976 977 on the 21st day of February 1884 
is Paid And we hereby Consent that the same be discharged of Record
dated this fourteenth day of January 1889 before me personally came    Elizabeth Ransom
