and one half (107 1/2) yards - thence West Fourteen hundred
and Ninety four and four Ninths (1494 4/9) yards thence
South Two hundred and forty seven and one half
(247 1/2) yds thence East Fourteen Hundred and twenty
four and four ninths (1424 4/9) yards to the point of begin-
ning The Same being a fractional portion of the North half
of said Section Thirty one (31) in Township Nine (9) South
Range Twenty (20) East and Containing Eighty (80) acres
more or less to secure the payment of the following  
promissory notes to wit: Three notes bearing even
date April 7th AD 1881 Each for the sum of one
hundred ($100) Dollars and bearing 8 per ct Int from
date the first of said notes being payable on or
before the first day of Jan AD 1882 the second
on or before the fist day of Jan AD 1883 the third on
or before the first day of Jan AD 1884. And whereas the
said promissory notes have been fully paid and the
said H.A. Lackey desires to release the said piece
or parcel of land from the lien created by said Mort- 
gage This Deed witnesseth That the said H.A.
Lackey in Consideration of the payment in full
of the said Promissory notes by the said James
S. Pardue doth hereby forever release and discharge
the said piece or parcel of land from the lien of
the said Mortgage. Witness the following Signature
and seal this the 21st day of Jan AD 1884
