four dollars which said Sum is Covenanted to be paid
by a Certain promissory note bearing date February
2nd 1884 and for the said Sum of Fifty four dollars
bearing interest at the rate of - Now therefore to better
secure the payment of the said note and interest as
expressed therein I do by these presents grant bargain
sell and Convey unto the said S.W. Vaughn heirs and
assigns all my right title interest and claim of in also
the following described property to wit;
Lot NÂș3 of Section Thirteen in Township Seven South
of Range Seventeen. To have and to hold all and Sin-
gular the lands and personal property above bargained
and sold unto the said S.W. Vaughn heirs executors ad-
ministrators and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless
that if the said Henry Riviere should well and truly pay
or cause to be paid unto the said S.W. Vaughn the full
amount of said note together with the interest ac-
cording to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be
void else to remain in full force and virtue
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal pro-
ceedings the said Henry Riviere will pay therefor all
attorneys fees charges and expenses.

affixed my seal this 2nd day of February AD 1884
