before me a Commissioner duly appointed and authorized by the
Executive Authority of the State of Florida under the laws of said
State to take within the State of Pennsylvania proof and acknowledge
ment of Deeds Etc to be used and recorded in said State of Florida
Pembroke Lea Thom to me well known to be the person who executed
the foregoing deed by him sealed and subscribed and the said Pem
broke Le Thom acknowledged the execution thereof to be his free act
and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.

State of Florida } This Indenture, made on the 10th day of
Alachua County   } August in the year of our Lord Eighteen
hundred and Eighty Eight (1888) between G.W. Means and his wife
M.S. Means of the first part and Frank M. Simonton of
the second part Witnesseth: That for and in Consideration
of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid
at and before the signing of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged the parties of the first part have
given granted bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do bargain sell give grant and deliver to the
party of the second part an undivided half interest in
Sections Thirty five and Thirty Six (35 & 36) of Township
Eleven of Range Nineteen Containing in all twelve hundred
and Seventy Seven (1277) Acres of land and water more or
less situated in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
in what is known as the Arredondo Grant. To have and
to hold the said undivided half interest in
and to the houses, buildings improvements and appurten
ances unto the party of the second part his heirs Executors
or Administrators and Assigns in fee simple forever,
