Alachua County } Know all men by these Presents:
That I Phila A. Williams (a widow)
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty
Dollars to me in hand paid by Thomas P. Montgomery
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said Thomas P. Montgomery and to his hers and
assigns
all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
In the City of Gainesville and described as being, The North half of Lot numbered
Two (2) of the Subdivision of Millers addition to the said City of Gainesville
as shown by the map or plat, thereof, recorded in plat Book A at page
(20) Twenty of the records of Alachua County Florida made by Miller & Jenkins
Civil Engineers and recorded on the 18th day of January A.D. 1887 said lot
hereby conveyed, being thirty and two thirds (30 2/3) feet north and south by one
hundred and fifteen & 2/3 feet East and West
containing by estimation ~~~~~~~ acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To Have and to Hold the same unto him the said Thomas P. Montgomery
and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said Phila A. Williams
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Thomas P. Montgomery
that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever, and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto him the said
Thomas P. Montgomery
and to his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.

Alachua County } I Hereby Certify that on this day of A.D. 18 before
} me personally appeared Mrs.
wife of the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
