Alachua County } Know all men by these Presents:
That I Sarah C. Gray (widow)
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Six Dollars and fifty ($8650) cents
Dollars to me in hand paid by G.W. Hawthorn
of the County of Alachua in the State of New York the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said G.W. Hawthorn
all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
Starting at the North East Corner of Section Fourteen (14) in Township Ten (10) South
Range Twenty Two (22) East as proved up by the Government field notes, run
South along the East boundary of the Section one chain and fifty eight (1.58ch)
links to the South East Corner of the Lot, Thence west parallel with the North
boundary of said Section Eleven Chains and Sixty two and a quarter (11624ch) links
to the South west corner, on the East side of Avenue, said point to be forever
located by the following witness trees S 70° E 2775L) pine N 14° W 32 pine, Thence North
along East side of avenue one Chain and fifty Eight (1.58ch) links to the North
west Corner, located as follows S 02° W 674L pine West 38L pine Thence East along
the section line Eleven Chains and sixty two and a quarter (11.624L) links
back to the North East Corner of the Lot and Section
containing by estimation 1 73/100 acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To Have and to Hold the same unto him the said G.W. Hawthorn
and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said Sarah C. Gray
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said G.W. Hawthorn
that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever, and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto him the said
G.W. Hawthorn
and to his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.

Alachua County } I Hereby Certify that on this day of A.D. 18 before
} me personally appeared Mrs.
wife of the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
