Alachua County } Know all men by these Presents:
That I Sarah A. Patterson (a widow)
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven Hundred
Dollars to me in hand paid by Robert L. Stringfellow
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said Robert L. Stringfellow and to his
heirs & assigns
all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
In the City of Gainesville and particularly described as follows to wit
Commencing at the North East Corner of Lot One (1) of the Patterson
Estate or tract, as subdivided and platted by P.F. Jenkins
C.E. as shown by map thereof which is recorded in Plat Book "A"
of the records of Alachua County Florida, at page 21, and running
South on a straight line (200) Two hundred and five feet to the
line dividing lots one and Two of said Estate or tract: Thence North
along said dividing line (200) Two Hundred feet, Thence East
on a straight line (105) One hundred and five feet to the place of
beginning, and being a part of the "Thomas Patterson Homestead" which
was Conveyed to him by J.B. Bailey on May 5th 1863
containing by estimation one half acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To Have and to Hold the same unto him the said Robert L. Stringfellow
and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said Sarah A. Patterson
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Robert L. Stringfellow
that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever, and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto the said
Robert L. Stringfellow
and to his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.

Alachua County } I Hereby Certify that on this day of A.D. 18 before
} me personally appeared Mrs.
wife of the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
