The State of Florida }
    Alachua County   }         Know all men by these Presents:
               That  I Burt C. Drake party of the first part
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of  Two Thousand
                                       Dollars to me in hand paid by  S.B. Chapin party of the second part
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said  party of the second part

all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
Lot number Two (2) of B.C. Drakes subdivision of Block number Seventeen (17) Brushes
Addition to the town of Gainesville Florida as appears by map or plat of said
subdivision recorded in Plat Book "A" at page Ten (10) of the public records of
Alachua County Florida which said lot number Two (2) is more particularly descri
bed as commencing at the South East Corner of said Block number seventeen
(17) and running North fifty (50) feet to point of beginning, Thence west (90)
ninety feet, Thence North fifty (50) feet Thence East ninety (90) feet and
thence south fifty (50) feet to point of beginning (subject nevertheless to a
Certain Mortgage made by said B.C. Drake to the Building and Loan
Association of said town of Gainesville for the sum of fifteen hundred Dollars





 
containing by estimation                                             acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
      To Have and to Hold the same unto him the said  party of the second part



and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said  party of the first part



do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said  party of the second part

that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances 
                       saving and excepting the said mortgage for fifteen hundred dollars
of any kind whatsoever,^ and that * will and * heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto him the said
 party of the second part
and to his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.
       In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand  and affixed my seal  on this   the third           day of    January               A.D. 1890

                     } me personally appeared Mrs.  
wife of                   the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said 
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
