The State of Florida }
    Alachua County   }         Know all men by these Presents:
               That  S.C. Moore (Widow)
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of  Two Hundred and Twenty ($22000)
                                       Dollars to me in hand paid by  S.B. Slaughter

of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said  S.B. Slaughter

all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
East half of Block No 5 in Range No 3 and Lot No 1 and Lot No 2 in Block No 5 in
Range No 2 and Lot No 2 of Block No 4 in Range No 1 as per map of the town
of Santa Fe as recorded the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Alachua
County Florida on March 23rd A.D. 1885 as the property of S.C. Moore located in Sec
3 Township 8 South of Range 17 East. Also one half acre bounded as follows
to wit, Commencing at the North West Corner of Block No 4 in Range one in
above described town extending sixty feet along the edge of the right of way of
the Savannah Florida and Western Rail Road to starting point of the lot and
from thence extending along said Right of Way one hundred feet, and from
thence two (2) hundred feet in a south westerly direction to be square with
Rail Road and from thence one (1) hundred feet in a south easterly direction
and from thence two (2) hundred feet in a north easterly direction to starting
point of lot


 
containing by estimation      Five (5) Lots                      acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
      To Have and to Hold the same unto  him the said  S.B. Slaughter

and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said  S.C. Moore


do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said  S.B. Slaughter

that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances 
of any kind whatsoever, and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto him the said
S.B. Slaughter 
and to his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.
       In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand  and affixed my seal  on this   19th               day of    March             A.D. 1886

                     } me personally appeared Mrs.   
wife of                    the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said 
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
