Alachua County } Know all men by these Presents:
That I L.A. Eldridge (unmarried)
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Hundred
Dollars to me in hand paid by Martha E. Adkins
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto her the said Martha E. Adkins
all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
One undivided one half interest in the following described land, Lots (1)
One (2) Two (3) Three and (4) Four in Block Five of the addition to the
Town of Hawthorn Known as Waits Crossing, being the property where E.A.
Adkins now resides, This Conveyance to be for and during the natural life
of said Martha E. Adkins and at her death to E.A. Adkins and his heirs
containing by estimation Three 75/100 acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To Have and to Hold the same unto her the said Martha E. Adkins
for and during her lifetime
and to heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And I the said L.A. Eldridge
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Martha E. Adkins
that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever, and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto her the said
Martha E. Adkins
during her life to said E.A. Adkins his
and to her heirs, executors and administrators and ^assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.

Alachua County } I Hereby Certify that on this day of A.D. 18 before
} me personally appeared Mrs.
wife of the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly questioned and examined by me, separate and
apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said
Deed described, and that the said Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of or
from her husband.
