This Indenture made and entered into this 7th day of June in the Year of our
Lord One thousand Eight hundred and ninety three, Between Edward C. Brevard
and Margaret Brevard his wife of the County of Alachua State of Florida of
the first part and The Savannah Florida and Western Railway Company a
Corporation duly established and existing under the laws of the State of Georgia
and Florida party of the second part. Witnesseth, That said parties of the
first part, for and in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred & Fifty Dol
lars of lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand
paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged -
have granted bargained, sold, aliened remised released Conveyed
and Confirmed and by these presents does grant bargain sell alien
remise release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the Sec
ond part, and its successors and assigns forever, all of a certain
tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County
of Alachua State of Florida, described as follows to wit a Strip of
land One hundred feet wide, Same being fifty feet in width
on each side from Center line of Survey for track & road bed
of said Railway as it is now located in and through the South
west quarter of the South West quarter of Section Twenty Four
in Township Ten South Range Seventeen East, together with
all and Singular the tenements, hereditaments, and appurten-
ances, thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the
reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issues and profits
thereof and also all the estate, right title interest dower and
right of dower property possession claim and demand what
soever of the said parties of the First part both in law and in
Equity on in and to the above granted premises with the here
ditaments and appurtenances, with full Covenant of General
Warranty, Reserving to ourselves any valuable phosphate &
Mineral on said land with the right to mine & remove same
provided said mining operations do not interfere with or
endanger the trach & road bed of Said Railway when Construct
ed, To have and to hold the above granted premises with the
appurtenances and every part thereof unto the Said party of
the second part its successors and assigns to its own proper
use and behoof forever for the uses and purpose of the
