Know all men by these presents That the Florida Land and Mortgage
Company (Limited) a Corporation organized under the Laws of Great
Britain in consideration of the sum of One hundred and 00/100 Dollars
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained
sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant bargain sell and
convey unto Joseph W. Malphurs of the County of Alachua State of
Florida and his heirs and assigns forever the following described lands
to wit, The South West quarter of the North East quarter of Section
Four in Township Seven South Range nineteen East containing
according to the United States surveys Forty and 00/100 acres and lying
and being in the County of Alachua State of Florida, To have and to
hold the said lands unto the said Joseph W. Malphurs and his
heirs and assigns forever and the said the Florida Land and Mort-
gage Company (Limited) for itself and its successors does hereby covenant
promise and agree with the said Joseph W. Malphurs and his heirs
and assigns that it has good right full power and lawful authority
to grant bargain sell and convey the above granted and described
premises in manner aforesaid, and that it has not made done
committed executed or suffered any acts or act thing or things where
by the above mentioned or described premises now and or at any
time hereafter shall or may be impeached charged or encumbered
in any manner or way whatsoever. In witness whereof Charles
Duane Willard attorney in fact or the Florida Land and Mortgage
Company (Limited) in pursuance of a Power of Attorney bearing date
the twenty second day of December AD 1884, hath hereunto set the
hand and affixed the seal of said Company on this the 23rd day of
November eighteen hundred and eighty seven
