deed for the purposes and considerations therein expressed. And the said Florence A. Foster
being questioned separate and apart from her husband declared that she signed the same freely and
voluntarily and without any constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said husband George
E. Foster both for the purposes therein expressed and for conveying all her dower and right of

Homestead Certificate No 4392 } To All to whom these presents shall come Greeting
Application 6944 } Whereas there has been deposit in the General Land Office
of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Gainesville
Florida whereby it appears that pursuant to the act of Congress approved 20th May
1862 "To Secure Homesteads to actual settlers on the Public Domain" and the
acts supplemental thereto the Claim of Joseph Watson has been established and
duly consumated in conformity to law for the North West quarter of the
South East quarter of section Eight in Township ten South of range twenty
two East of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida containing thirty nine acres
and ninety hundredths of an acre, According to the official Plat of the
survey of the said Land returned to the General Land office by the Survey
General, Now Know Ye That there is therefore granted by the United
States unto the said Joseph Watson and to his heirs and assigns forever
In testimony whereof I Chester A. Arthur President of the United States of
America have Caused these letters to be made Patent and the seal of the
General Land office to be hereunto affixed.
Given under my hand at the City of Washington the thirtieth
day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
