interest payable Semi annually with interest at the rate of 8 per Centum per annum
semi annually on the whole sum remaining from time to time unpaid and to pay all taxes
assessments or impositions that may be legally levied or imposed upon said land subsequent
to the year 1892. And in case of the failure of the said parties of the second part to
make either of the payments or any part thereof or perform any of the covenants on their
part hereby made and entered into this contract shall at the option of the party of
the first part be forfeited and terminated, and the parties of the second part shall
forfeit all payments made by them on this contract: and said party of the first part
shall have the right to reenter and take possession of the premises aforesaid without
being liable to any action therefor, It is Mutually agreed by and between the
parties hereto that the time of payment shall be an Essential part of this Contract
and that the Covenants and agreements herein contained shall extend to and be
obligatory upon the heirs executors administrators and assigns of the respective

                This indenture made and entered into on the 6th day of March
1893. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of four hundred (40000) dollars receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged before the signing & delivery of this indenture
Chas M. Willingham of the County of Hamilton State of Tennessee has this day
leased & does hereby lease transfer & Convey to V.J. Herlong of the County of Columbia
State of Florida the timber rights and priviledge to all timber that will
measure fifteen (15) inches and up at the Stump in diameter to cut and haul
the same from the land hereinafter described on that tract of land known &
described as all of Section thirty Six (36) and all of Section twenty four (24)
Except the North East quarter of the South East quarter of said section (24) twenty four
lying in Township Seven (7) Range fifteen (15) East in the County of Alachua
to have and hold the same together with the rights and priviledges in
ingress and Egress to & from the same and all other rights & priviledges thereto
belonging for the purpose of cutting & hauling the said timber therefrom or to
build and operate train roads or railroads upon the same or to make and
use wagon or Cart roads upon and over the said lands for the full period of
one (1) year from the date of this indenture. And the said Chas M. Willingham
hereby grants & conveys to the said V.J. Herlong the right and priviledges
to assign transfer or sublet in part or in whole this lease without
the further Knowledge or Consent of him the said Chas M. Willingham
and any tenant or sublease or assignee of V.J. Herlong is to have the same
