L.A. Barnes }
Know all men by these presents, That the Board of Education of the
State of Florida under the provisions of Sections 234 and 235 of
the Revised Statutes of State of Florida for and in Consideration
of the sum of One and 25/100 Dollars per acre to them in hand paid
by L.A. Barnes of the County of Alachua State of Florida have
granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant
bargain sell and Convey unto the said L.A. Barnes and his
heirs and assigns forever the following described lands to wit
The East half of Section Twenty, in Township Nine South of Range
Eighteen East, containing Three hundred and fifteen and 55/100 acres
and lying and being in the County of Alachua in said State of Florida
To have and to hold the said lands unto the said L.A. Barnes and
his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof, The members
of said Board have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed
their seals and have caused the seal of "The Department of Agricul
ture of the State of Florida" to be hereunto affixed at the Capitol
in the City of Tallahassee on this the Twenty Sixth day of March
