Mansfield Bishop & Co }    Lease
State of Florida } This Lease made the 9th day of June AD 1894 between 
Alachua County   } J.W. Exley of the County of Alachua and the State of Florida
party of the first part and Mansfield Bishop & Co of Alachua County 
and the State of Florida parties of the second part. Witnesseth that said 
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty 
Dollars to him in hand paid by the said parties of the second at or 
before the signing sealing and delivery of these presents the reciept 
where of  is hereby acknowledge does by these presents Lease to the said 
parties of the second part the following described property lying and
being situate in the County of Alachua and the State of Florida and 
more particulary described as follows towit, North half of North 
West quarter Section (9) Nine township (8) Eight south Range (18) 
Eighteen East, North East of North East quarter Section (8) Eight town
ship (8) Eight South of Range (18) Eighteen East. Containing by Estimation 
One Hundred and twenty (120) acres more or less. The said party of 
the second part agrees to pay J.W. Exley party of the first part Ten 
Dollars per thousand for boxes for Turpentine when cut and counted 
less fifty dollars paid in advance, the party of the first part 
agrees to let the said parties of the second part their heirs and 
assigns have and hold the above described land from the first 
day of January AD 1895 until the first day of January AD 1898 
three years from date, and the said party of the first part futher 
covenants and agrees that said parties of the second part for and in con
sidertion aforesaid shall have the right and authority to use 
a sufficient amount of Rail and board timber as maybe necessa
ry to keep his premises on said described land in good repair
