              To          }  This Indenture made the
       B.W. Thomas        } Twenty fifth day of November in
                          } the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and Ninety six between William W. Gordon of
the County of Chatham and State of Georgia party of the first
part and B.W. Thomas of the County of Alachua and
State of Florida party of the second part;
  Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of One Hundred & Fifty ($15000)
Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America to him
in hand paid by the party of the second part at or
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold,
conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant,
bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the
second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, all the fol-
lowing in the County of Alachua and State of Florida, and de-
scribed as follows
    All that tract, piece or parcel of land lying and being in the
the County of Alachua and State of Florida to wit, The northwest
quarter of the southweast quarter of Section Sixteen (16) Town-
ship eight (8) South of Range Twenty (20) East, Being a
portion of the same premises conveyed to siad William W.
Gordon by Nancy A. Lynn and Joseph Lyn, her husband
by deed dated April 28th 1884, & recorded in the office of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County of Alachua in
Book "S" pages 421, 422, & 423,
Together with all and singular the tenements, heredita-
ments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or appertain-
ing and every right, title or interest legal or equitable of
the said party of the first part of in or to the same,
To Have and To Hold the same, unto the said party of
the second part and his heirs and assigns, to their own
