C.W. Chase } This Indenture made and
entered into this 25th of February 1897, between John Haile
Widower, and F.N. Pike and James Chesnut, of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida, and A.B. Chesnut his
wife party of the first part, and C.W. Chase of the second
part, Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part for
and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar to them in
hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey
unto the said party of the second part a strip of land One
Hundred (100) feet wide, being fifty (50) feet from the center
of the railroad track of the said party of the second part
and on either side of said track as the same is located
or may be located with the further right to cut, remove,
and use all timber and materials, without cost to
the party of the second part, within 100 feet of center
of road bed on either side of the road through the following
described land, situate, lying and being in Alachua County
State of Florida to wit: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~ The east one hundred (100) feet in a northerly
and southerly course, of the Southeast quarter (SE 1/4)
of Section One (1) in Township Nine (9) South of
Range Seventeen (17) East,
To Have and to Hold the above described land as
a right of way unto the said party of the second part
his heirs, successors and assigns forever.
In witness Whereof the sais party of the first part have
hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first
above written.
