as the wife of said Carroll M. Austin, and as one of the indi-
viduals described in and who executed the foregoing convey-
ance, who being by me examined separate and apart from her
said husband, acknowledged that she executed said convey-
ance for the purpose of conveying her separate estate, and all
title and interest in and to the lands therein described, and
that she did the same freely and voluntarily, and without any com-
pulsion or constraint, apprehension or fear of, or from her said
husband.

Homestead Certificate No 12167} in the General Land Office of the
Application 21050 } United States a Certificate of the
Register of the Land Office at Gaines-
ville Florida, whereby it appears that, pursuant to the Act of
Congress approved 20th of May 1862, "To Secure Homesteads to
actual Settlers on the Public Domain," and the acts sup-
plemental thereto, the claim of William C. Wheeler has been es-
tablished and duly consummated, in conformity to law for
the Southwest quarter of Section Six in Township Nine
South of Range fifteen East of Tallahassee Meridian in
Florida, containing one hundred and sixty seven acres
and fifty six hundredths of an acre, according to the official
Platt of the survey of the said Land, returned to the General Land
