Last Will & Testament of James T. Thomas decd.
In the name of God Amen
I James T. Thomas of the State of Florida
Alachua County being frail in body but of sound and disposing
mind and memory do ordain, declare and publish this my
last Will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills hereto-
bore made by me.
Item First I hereby give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Annie M.
C. Thomas the house lot upon which I reside in the town
of Gainesville Florida and the furniture and fixtures
thereto attached except such furniture as is hereinafter dis
posed of otherwise disposed of; also to my beloved wife, I
give the store house & lot, on the North side of the court
House square, now occupied by Foster & Colclough; also my
Cream horse which has been my saddle horse
Item 2nd To my son James Tellet Thomas, I give my Iron Gray horse
three years old
" 3rd To my son Daniel Frazer Thomas I give my Chesnut sorrel
horse named Bob
Item 4 To my daughter Sarah Alice Thomas, my boy man, and the
furniture in the N.E. room, consisting of bedstead wash stand
bureau and 4 sofa seat chairs
Item 5th To my son Alexander William Thomas, I give a Gray mare and
her colt
Item 6th My will and desire is that all the rest and residue of my real
and personal property of whatsoever that I may own, at my
death, shall be equally divided between my three children
Daniel Frazier Thomas, Sarah Alice Thomas and Alexander Thomas
subject to the changes herein after mentioned, share and share
alike
Item 7th I desire that my son James T. Thomas, shall receive Fifty
Dollars a year for Ten years to be paid out of the estate given
to my three other children as mentioned in Item sixth.
Item 8th I desire that my wife Annie M.C. Thomas shall have
the Guardianship of my three minor children D. Frazier
Thomas, Alice Thomas, William Alexander Thomas, & a sufficiency
of the proceeds of the farms to support the family in Gainesville
Item 9th I hereby appoint my wife Annie M.C. Thomas Executrix &
James B. Dawkins to execute & carry into effect this my
last will and testament, hereby empowering them or
either of them that may qualify to do all legal acts
to perfect the same
