To the Hon J.C. Gardner County Judge, acting as Judge of
Probate in and for said County.
   Your petitioner respectfully Showeth that William E.
Rice of 1045 State St. Chicago Illinois of the age of
29 years departed this life on the 15th day of December
1884, leaving a last Will and Testament
   Your Petitioner herewith presents said will and prays that
the same may be examined and allowed

                 Upon reading and considering the foregoing
petition, and after an examination of said Will
and finding that the same was made in compliance with
the Statutes of the State of Illinois; It is therefore ordered
that the said Last Will be, and is hereby approved
and admitted to proof

   In the name of God Amen. I Wallace E. Rice, a resident
of NO. 1045 State st. Chicago Illinois of the age of 29 years
and being of Sound mind and memory, do make, publish
and declare this my last will and Testament, in manner
following. that is to say; I hereby give devise and
bequeath all of my property, both personal and real
of which I may die possessed, to my dear wife Mary
E. Rice, and it is my will that she shall not be required
to give any bond in probating this my will,
but that she shall inherit and become possessed of
all of my property, of every Kind of which I may die
possessed with in other legal process than such time and
as the law directs. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of June
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and Seventy-three                Wallace E. Rice (Seal)
   The above instrument consisting of one sheet was
at the date thereof signed Sealed published and declared
by the said Wallace E. Rice, as and for his
last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his
