To Hon J.C. Gardner Judge of Probate in and for Alachua
County Florida
   The Petition of James D. Matheson respectfully showeth unto
your Honor that Solomon F. Halliday who last dwelt and
had his residence at Gainesville Alachua County Florida
died on the 11th day of October AD 1888 at and in the said
City of Gainesville in Alachua County in the State of Florida
seized and possessed of goods and chattels lands and thereunto
in said County and State remaining to be administrated
leaving as his heirs at law so far Petitioner
is informed the following to wit; His sister Ellen Jane
Grant of Potter County, in the state of Pennsylvania
his brother Mathew Bullock Halliday of Sheffield Warren
County State of Pennsylvania, his Nephew Byun Horton
of the City County and State of New York.
   That said decd died without issue and had no wife at
the date of his decease. That said decd left a will herewith
presented, wherein your Petitioner is named as executor jointly
with one Byun Horton, resident in the city, County and State
of New York
   Wherefore your Petitioner prays that said will my
be proved and allowed, and Letters Testamentary issued granted
to him and that the said Co-Executor Byun Horton may be
allowed to qualify as Executor at such time as he may apply
therefore. This 17th day of December A.D. 1888
