In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this 26th day of December AD 1877

in presence of us by the Testator
& we signed as witnesses thereto
in his presence & in the presence
of each other.

Personally came before me Gavin Joseph who being
duly sworn says on oath that he saw James T. Thomas whose
signature appears to the within & foregoing Will sign and
seal said instrument & that he together with Charles A.
Gilbert & J.F. McKinstry witnessed the due execution thereof
and signed the same as witnesses in the presence of the
Testator, James T. Thomas, now deceased, and in the presence of
each other on the day & year as written in said will.

Whereas, James T. Thomas late of Alachua County Florida decd
left the undersigned one of his Executors to his last will & testament
I hereby renounce my right to such Executorship or all claim thereto
Given under my hand & seal 3rd January AD 1878

State of Florida } You do solemnly swear that you will well and truly
Alachua County } perform the last will and testament of James T.
Thomas decd & pay all his just debts as far as his goods chattles rights
& credits will extend & that you will make a true & perfect inventory
of the same, & render a true account of your administration when
thereunto required }
