Last Will & Testament of John A. Kennedy
I, John A. Kennedy of the state of Florida & County of Alachua
being feeble in body but of sound mind, do in the fear of God
make and publish this as my last Will & Testament
1st It is my will and desire that all of my Real & personal
property that I may be found seized and possessed of at my
decease be and remain as found at my death during the
natural life of my beloved wife "Charlotte Rochelle: and my
hereinafter named Executor & Executrix shall govern and use
my said estate to the best of their ability in liquidating
my just and honest debts and rendering the support of my
wife and maiden daughters as comfortable as my or my
Said estate will admit
2nd It is my desire that my tenant house be Kept in repair
and, if possible, one or two men build at suitable
places, and my lands be rented or leased to good tenants,
and any of my legatees cultivating any part of the same
they shall pay the regular rent thereon.
3rd It is also my will and desire, that should my Executor
or Executrix find it necessary or expedient to sell or dispose
of any part of my Real or Personal property to facilitate
the payment of my just debts or when a Known benefit
with access to my Estate, then after consulting all of my
legatees, and a majority concerning therein in writing, then
the sale or disposal of the same shall be made
4th It is my will and desire after the decease of my wife,
that all of my personal property then found remaining
shall be appraised and divided equally into five shares
between my five children "except such as may be hereinafter
otherwise disposed of"-
6th After the decease of my beloved wife, I give will and bequeath
to my beloved daughters Margaret, Sarah & Isabel my ****
and homestead with 60 acres of land attached, situated
in N.E. quarter of Section (21) twenty-one Township (10) Ten
Range (21) twenty one of the Aradondo Grant in the survey
of (David Russ & Henry Washington) with all the rights
tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging with all
the household & Kitchen furniture therein found.
