Last Will & testament of Amelia Haile
I Amelia Haile resident of the county of Alachua and state
of Florida being of sound mind and disposing memory do
make and publish this to be my last will and testament
Item 1st I direct my Executors hereinafter mentioned, to pay out of my estate
my funeral expenses and the debts (if any) which I may be
owing at the time of my death
Item 2d My executors are hereby empowered to sell publicly or
privately and upon such reasonable terms
for cash or credits as they may deem best whatever
real estate I may own at the time of my death and
they are hereby authorised to convey the same.
Item 3d I give and bequeath to my son Edward
Haile the two notes drawn by him in my favour
the one dated Nov. 12th 1872 for $2940,00 the other
dated August 1st 1873 for $2169,00.
Item 4th I direct that all the rest and residue of my
estate of every description whatever whether
real personal or mixed wherever situated, shall
be divided between my son Columbus Haile, my daughters
Mary Kenedy, Nellie Haile and Chesnut Haile
children of Edward Haile taking one share between
them, my son Charles E. Haile Elizabeth Shannon
wife of Thomas E. Shannon, my daughter in law Lorena
Haile and to my son John Haile share and share
alike
Item 5th Having heretofore advanced to my grand daughters
Janet Matheson and Chatharine Schofuled sufficiently
to equalize them I give them nothing by this will
Item 6th It is my will that my executors sell all or any of my personal
estate if by such sale they can better effect a division
of my estate as herein before provided.
Item 7th I hereby appoint my sons Columbus Haile & John
Haile as executors of this my last will & testament
without giving security.

day of January Eighteen Hundred and seventy seven
